Project Architect

Our Higher Education team is actively recruiting a Project Architect for our Dallas, Texas office. If you want to:

project

Responsibilities
• Prepare reports and bid documents, including drawings and technical
specifications
• Contribute to the design process and lead the preparation of document
sets
• Act as a consultant coordinator
• Communicate clear and attainable project objectives and project
requirements
• Serve as technical point of contact providing interpretation for design
and construction teams
• Provide Higher Education Studio Principal with regular status updates on
performance, issues, or challenges related to projects
• Ensure projects conform to the contract
• Maintain project records
Qualifications
• Licensed Architect
• 7 to 10 years of experience, with recent experience in Higher Education
related facilities
• Experience working with and leading a diverse team of consultants and
internal staff
• A passion for working collaboratively with clients to solve unique and
complex challenges
• Ability to communicate effectively with internal staff, consultant teams,
and the client
• A team-focused attitude, willing to assist others as necessary
• Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Enscape, and Adobe Creative
Suite
• High levels of activity and productivity
• Strong organizational and communication skills with excellent attention
to detail
• Ability and desire to mentor young design professionals
• Ability to develop and deliver technically sound project documents
• Experience working on STEM and/or Student Life related projects, highly
desired
• Knowledge of building codes (IBC and NFPA)
• The ability to quickly grasp new concepts
• Familiarity with LEED, WELL, or other sustainability guidelines
Accreditation, or actively working towards this, is desired.
• Complete understanding of ADA and TAS requirements
• Ability to provide structured coordination of consultants and
documentation on Construction Administration efforts
• A willingness to travel outside of the local area to attend meetings at
various sites
