Interior Designer

• Input base plans and assist in developing document standards
• Manage and update specifications. Research new and better processes
and materials
• Coordinate plumbing, electrical and mechanical details and layout with
engineers and subcontractors
• Develop 3D capabilities for presentations
• Understand and translate the client’s vision, goals, and objectives into
solid design concepts within budget and relevant to the architectural
setting
• Assist project architect/manager in keeping project record drawings
current – electronic files and office hard copy
• Maintain design library and catalogs
• Create design boards and other useful presentational assets
• Create and update finish schedules
• Coordinate with City officials, research codes and requirements,
practices and procedures

Responsibilities

• Commercial interior design experience a plus
• Ability to juggle multiple responsibilities, projects, and deadlines
simultaneously
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients, client representatives,
contractors, consultants, vendors and teammates
• Assist in any way possible in delivering service to our clients and
company
• Apply any existing knowledge to help economize document preparation
• Assist project architect/manager in keeping project record drawings
current – electronic files and office hard copy
• Set up and maintain office work environment
• Maintain design library and catalogs
• Create design boards and other useful presentational assets
• Create and update finish schedules
• Coordinate with City officials, research codes and requirements,
practices and procedures

Qualifications

• Professional Experience using the following – 2 years minimum
* AutoCAD - Required
* Revit - Preferred
* Excel - Required
* Word - Required
• An understanding and wide knowledge base of finishes, fixtures and
furnishings would be preferred
• Experience with production of Construction Documents is required
• You should be able to work on a project independently, but also
collaborate when the project requires
