Architectural/Interior Designer

Architectural or Interior Design Intern with 2-3 years experience in corporate and medical office projects.

Responsibilities

Produce CAD design and construction drawings with attention to detail and efficiency maintaining office and client standards. Assist Project Manager with all project tasks including coordination with consultants, shop drawing review, coordination with consultants and clients. Conduct materials research and meet with vendors as necessary to maintain material resources and provide project specific information. Make site visits and surveys to document existing conditions and produce CAD documentation. Take initiative to complete work and organize project tasks without constant supervision. Become knowledgeable of relevant building codes, ADA requirements and ordinances that pertain to the work being performed.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Interior Design
Proficient in AutoCAD with the ability to use Photoshop, Bluebeam SketchUp or other graphics programs a plus.
Excellent communication skills, both writing and oral and the ability to interact with consultants, client reps and contractors.
Ability to work well on multiple tasks, under pressure and on multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
Experience with both ground up and interior planning projects.
