Architectural Designer

McCarthy Architecture is looking to fill an immediate Architectural Designer position at our firm located in Garland, Texas.

McCarthy Architecture offers high quality architectural services to a diverse client base in the Southwest and the Dallas-Fort Worth area. McCarthy Architecture has a wealth of project experience that ranges from small renovations and high-end residential, to liturgical and large-scale commercial/retail as well as numerous institutional, educational, and municipal projects.


Firm employees have the opportunity to be a part of numerous project types all at once. Employees also enjoy working on multiple aspects of projects, from schematic design to construction documents, construction administration to materials selection and specification. Additionally, employees have the opportunity to gain valuable field experience through project site visits. Prospective candidates should possess the following skills:
- Bachelor of Architecture or Master of Architecture (or closely related) degree
- 0-4 years of architectural experience
- AutoCAD and Revit proficiency
- Microsoft Office proficiency: Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint
- Experience analyzing and composing construction documents
- A drive to work in a fast paced, team environment
- Adaptability in order to move from one project to another very quickly
- Clear communication skills for client and sub-consultant coordination
- Organizational skills
