Talk About It
What started out as a garden in a small lot has grown into two fully functioning farms and the Bonton Market. Bonton Farms grows organic food and hope for a better tomorrow, right in the Bonton community and on a separate 40-acre farm south of Dallas. They're determined to grow the best-tasting, healthiest produce in the city while inspiring hope in everyone around us. They also house free-range chickens, goats, turkeys, rabbits, and beehives that provide an abundance of fresh eggs, milk, and honey.
The AIA Dallas Emerging Leaders Program classes of 2014 and 2015 are proud to have supported Bonton Farms as their annual class project. In 2014, the class provided not only drawings, but also the expertise to convince the city to allow this non-conventional architectural solution. The next year, the 2015 ELP class continued the effort, producing a schematic design package for a community center to serve the Bonton neighborhood.
