As we look forward to 2023 and the promise that a new year will bring, its important for our design and construction community to have a voice and be heard during the 88th  State Legislative session starting January, 2023.  Why is this important?   The outcome of this session will affect your businesses operations as conversations will occur around surplus tax dollars to be allocated, property tax reduction, Chapter 313 Legislation, broadband and water Infrastructure, and public education.  However only a handful of these Bills will make it to Governor Abbott’s desk for signature.  The session is to be engaging and interactive to give you an overview of what is to come and we want this to be a call to action for you our, AIA and TEXO members so that together we have a voice in the upcoming session.

Please join us as our Public Policy advocates Becky Walker and Jack Baxley lead the conversation around what the AIA and TEXO are following which will lead to a conversation on how this committee seeks action with a combined and larger voice.   We are very excited to have this event facilitated by Matt Garcia, Senior Vice President of Public Policy at the Dallas Regional Chamber to provide the perspective of our North Texas region.   Following the session, we will provide further details of how you can engage and be part of proposed changes in 2023.
