Biography

Clemente Jaquez was born in Chihuahua, Mexico. At the age of 11 he immigrated to Kansas, where he attended Kansas State University and graduated with a Master’s degree in Architecture. Amongst some of his achievements in college are the Sigma Tau Delta Architecture Student of the year and his participation as a Rhodes Scholar Finalist. In 2008 he joined RTKL associates. From leading an expansion through Construction Documents to the design and presentation of a modern hospital in South America, Clemente elevated the design quality and thoughtfulness of architecture at RTKL. His latest achievement is the construction of the New University Hospital for UT Southwestern, located along Harry Hines Blvd. in Dallas, TX, while at RTKL Clemente served as part of the cored design team. Currently Clemente is pursuing a new opportunity at the new office of Hoefer Wysocki in downtown Dallas.

Through his work Clemente aims to spread a message of cultural relevancy and how this can be represented in the built environment. Clemente is a registered Architect, AIA member and LEED AP. He’s also a member of the Dean’s Advisory Council for the College of Architecture at Kansas State University.
