Project Manager

The Project Manager’s responsibility is the management of multiple architectural projects from design development through construction administration including the timing and cost of those projects as assigned by the Client Manager. The Project Manager is the lead member of a project team and reports to the Senior Project Manager or the Client Manager. The Project Manager also directs other office personnel and consultants working on the projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects as assigned by the Client Manager
• Understand, utilize and convey office standards
• Communicate design concepts to clients
• Understand code requirements
• Research products and materials
• Responsible for the creation and completion of drawings needed for Bid, Permit, and Final Construction documents
• Maintain contact/coordinate with consultants to maintain and build a complete set of CD’s
• Participate in the design development of floor plans as directed by the Client Manager
• Communicate with Job Captains and Draft Persons to achieve design concepts
• Communicate with Client Manager regarding project profitability and scheduling
• Communicate with all engineers on concept, and final product timing and cost
• Maintain open line of communication with other individuals and consultants assigned to projects
• Understanding of project economics
• Work within project budgets
• Manage work load for project profitability
• Plan and report on status of projects
• Assist in project planning and implementation
• Assist with the strategic planning for the projects
• Assist Client Manager with project proposals when requested

Qualifications

• 5-10 years’ experience in running multiple projects throughout the development cycle
• Architectural background
• Be proficient in the use of AutoCAD and Revit for design and contract document purposes
• High energy and goal-oriented with strong work ethic
• Unquestioned reputation for honesty and integrity
• Confident and able to work collaboratively with others
• Ability to positively represent the firm
• Keep current on “State of the Art” in their design specialty through review of periodicals and continuing education
• Be creative and enthusiastic toward all design challenges
• Have the desire to learn and grow within the field and the firm
