Komatsu Architecture, founded in Fort Worth, Texas, in 1959, is an architecture, interior design and planning firm with a balanced portfolio providing new building design and historic preservation with solutions that respect our environment, cultural heritage and community context. Our firm’s work ranges throughout the U.S. and abroad. Our new construction programs have been in twenty-six states. We are seeking an Architect or Architectural Intern with strong BIM and AutoCAD skills, experienced in construction document production for commercial/institutional building types to join our team. Our firm is established and invested in the communities we work with, enjoying long-standing client relationships and repeat work. Architect/Architectural Intern Responsibilities
Work under the direction of senior staff to document project requirements
Understand and document compliance with applicable codes and regulations
Progress steadily through document production and meet senior staff expectations
Prepare design deliverables as directed by senior staff
Coordinate architectural design and/or models with consulting engineering design
Understand and prepare architectural detailing requisite to project document production
Participate in technical discussions with contractor, consultants, project teams, and clients
Respond to senior staff direction, comments, and quality control reviews
Periodically observe project construction and reporting on construction document compliance


• 3-5 years professional architectural experience required
• Masters Degree in Architecture a plus
• Working towards licensure
• Proficient Building Codes, and Microsoft Office Suite skills required
• Revit and AutoCAD skills required
• Adobe Photo Shop and SketchUp skills preferred
