Living in a large and thriving city provides countless opportunities for connecting, including a rich variety of programs at our own Center for Architecture, tours, and educational and networking events citywide.  Our website will be the center of communication for AIA Dallas—literally a digital center for architects. Springboard will amplify and extend program content to a broader audience, as well as providing a platform for deeper understanding and action through unique, digital-only content. As the outreach platform for AIA Dallas, the website will be central to the dialog about why and how architecture matters and will provide a springboard to a variety of opportunities for our members. 

We are excited to announce a new membership benefit of AIA Dallas: the Find-A-Firm FOLIO, a publicly-searchable database of Dallas architecture firms, complete with building project portfolios. Each week, the Chapter receives numerous requests for recommendations on finding an architect and, as a member organization, we must remain impartial. The FOLIO will highlight the richness of our members’ expertise and promises to be the go-to resource in connecting our members to the clients and communities they serve.

"Conversations" - our blog, features architect-created blog posts, gallery posts, editorials, essays, and content from our quarterly magazine, Columns. It exists as a forum for members to cultivate their voice, provide thought-leadership, and inspire the community.

AIA Dallas empowers architects to excel and impact their practice, profession and community. To achieve our mission, we need to:

• and foster advancement through affinity networks

It is with thanks that I recognize the leadership and determination of AIA Dallas’ 2013 President, Kirk Teske, AIA, and the 2013 Board of Directors who established the vision for creating an effective vehicle to showcase the talents of our members. That vision for a new website was then realized by the relentless work of our talented staff, spearheaded by Jan Blackmon, FAIA, Executive Director, and Katie Hitt, Assoc. AIA, Communications Manager.

We know AIA Dallas members are passionate about the role of architecture in creating quality of life in our communities. Through AIA Dallas | Springboard, we have a powerful communication engine to give voice to our active community of expert architects to inspire and engage each other, the industry, clients and the greater community.
